Paw Park of Historic Sanford

Summary:  This is a Fine park!  It is located in the heart of Sanford and is easy to find.  The park is in very good condition, the signage is getting a bit beat up, but overall is clean and well-maintained.  It has a cement walkway, benches, lighting, and nice tree coverage for humans to enjoy.  Dog water fountains,a colorful toy ramp to run on, Dog time out areas, Small and Large Dog areas and Dog Showers.  Time of day with any Dog Park influences the tranquility you’ll have.  Weekends are always busy, middle of the day, during weekdays is your best bet to be alone with your dog and thoughts.  At times the park can be a slight bit noisy due to main street traffic.

Park Rules:

• NO animals other than dogs shall be permitted in this park.
• NO dogs under 4 months of age are permitted.
• Keep small children under strict supervision.
• Dog waste MUST be cleaned up by dog owners (City Code 4-42(M)).
• ALL dogs must be LEGALLY LICENSED and VACCINATED, and shall wear a VISIBLE dog license.
• Dog owners MUST be in the park and within VIEW and VOICE contact of their dogs AT ALL TIMES.
• Dogs exhibiting AGGRESSIVE BEHAVIOR are PROHIBITED from this park.
• Dogs MUST be removed from the park at the first sign of aggression.
• Dogs MUST be leashed when entering and leaving this park and dog owners must have a leash in their possession at all times.
• Female dogs IN HEAT are PROHIBITED from the park.
• Pet owners MUST IMMEDIATELY fill any holes their dogs dig.
• DOG OWNERS are RESPONSIBLE for their dogs actions and for ensuring that their dogs don't escape the fenced area.
• USERS of this facility do so AT THEIR OWN RISK. City of Sanford SHALL NOT BE LIABLE for any injury or damage caused by any dog in this park.
