Summary:   Doctors’ is one of the easier Dog Parks to find. Located in the heart of Apopka, Highland Avenue intersects with 441 just west of the 436 merge. This is a huge, almost too large of a park, which comes in at 5 acres in size. It has a unique rotating system of three sections. As an area wears out, it is closed so the turf can regrow and another section is opened. There are both Small Dog and Large Dog areas, a Water Fountain/Shower for Dogs/Humans, Dogipots for cleanup, and Timeout Areas in each section. The Humans have a few Benches in each area to relax and enjoy the park on. Parking is a bit confusing. You park across the street and it appears to be a very small lot, but you can go beyond the obvious area into the open grass as well. This park has very few shady areas, and can get very hot during the height of Summer. This park ranks low on Amenities because they just don’t have much. Doctors’ is great for chucking a ball for your dog to retrieve, and to walk around the perimeter of the large grounds. Park officials hope to add more Shade Trees and Amenities as budget and ordinances allow.
